Another First Place Trophy to Add to Our Collection Aug 27th - Members of Community Fire & Rescue attended Somerville’s 125th Anniversary and Truck Dedication today. We decided to take Ladder 25, Rescue 25, Engine 251 and Car 25 to the event to enter them into the competition. Again, we spent a lot of time preparing and cleaning up the apparatus for today. After arriving and having our trucks judged in the event, we decided to stop and have a quick breakfast before making the trip over to the grounds at Somerville High School. Since we were one of the early arriving companies, we decided to wait in the parking lot and talk with our fellow brothers from other stations. A lot of us spent time meeting some of our brothers from companies such as Green Knoll. After waiting a few hours until the announcement of who was bringing home trophies today, for the third time in as many competitions, once again Car 25 won 1st Place for Best Appearing Chief Vehicle.
