RESCUE OPERATIONS 101
Aug 13th - Firefighters of Station 25 held a 4 hour drill today on extrication for our new members as well as an advanced course on cribbing for our senior firefighters. For our new members, it was the first time being exposed to some of our tools we use off of Rescue 25, such as the Hurst cutters, spreaders, stabilizers and many more tools. During the course members trained on taking apart a vehicle in a safe manner without causing injury to a would be patient. During the cribbing exercise, our experienced firefighters worked on stabilizing a dumpster 2 feet in the air by using airbags and cribbing tools.
NEW STATION 25 FIREFIGHTERS
Aug 7th - Today a total of 9 new probationary firefighters have been added to our active roster. The 8 pictured are: Robert Karch, Adam Gonzalez, Chris Fernandez, Kevin Heater, Dave Colin, Dan Heater, Ramey Packer and Dan Pierson. Not pictured is Jorge Martinez. Most of these men will be entering Firefighter Training at the Somerset County Fire Academy in the coming weeks.
