Bedroom Fire Monday July 30th - Early Monday morning at 2:06 AM, Fire District #3 was dispatched to Hamilton Street for the report of fire in a house. Car-25 arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from the basement door of the 2-1/2 story wood frame. Car-27 arrived soon after and took the interior division. Squad-27 arrived 1st due and with it's crew, deployed a hand line thru the B-side of the house into the basement to locate the fire. Engine-278 who also arrived on scene, hand-jacked a supply line to Squad-27. While that was being done the crew from Engine-278 completed a primary search of the building. The crew from Ladder-25 arrived and went to work by throwing up ground ladders to the building for egress in case of an emergency situation. The crew of Engine-251 & Engine-253 was designated as the FAST Team and stood by while Air-27 lit up the area and stood by to fill air bottles. Car-25 placed the fire under control at 2:22 AM. Ladder-25, Engine-251, Engine-253 & Car-25 cleared the scene a short while later as Squad-27, Car-27 and Car-27B remained on scene for the fire inspector and cleared at 4:30 AM. Sunday Pool Party Sunday July 22nd - We would like to thank our District Business Administrator, Vivian Cottrell & Family for inviting the department to their annual pool party today. About 20 members and their family showed up and each and everyone had a great time. The food was well prepared as well as the drinks. The weather held up and became a perfect day for a pool party. Once again, thank you and hopefully we can be in attendance again next year. |
