Rescue Dedication

Saturday June 30th - Today we held our dedication ceremony and motorcade for our new Rescue Truck.  Various departments from Central Jersey were in attendance.  The festivities started out with a few speeches including one from the Mayor of Franklin Township, following by commissioning Rescue-25 into service.  Afterwards, it was off to the motorcade route.  Once the conclusion of these events, everyone returned to the station for the festivities held at the station.  Would would like to thank everyone for coming out and showing their support for this event as well as all of our sponsors and members who dedicated their time and effort.

Hillsborough # 3 Wet-Down

Saturday June 23rd - Today we attended the wet-down for Hillsborough # 3 Woods Road Fire Company.  While Engine-253 was out for pump ops training for most of the day, a few members showed up with SOV-257 and teamed up with members from East Franklin with Squad-27.  Eventually Engine-253 showed up with it's crew for round 3, just in time to soak up the crew from 38-104, 38-151 & Car-38 who was returning from a call in the area. At that point, all war broke loose with the water attack. Word got out that they were planning an all out attack on us initially before getting toned out for their call.  Everyone in attendance thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  One thing to mention and that is, no matter who may not like it, the fact is brothers from both companies worked alongside each other today and each carried out their load.  Together both companies seemed to be unstoppable on the attack lines for the most part of day.  The biggest thing out of all of this was the teamwork between each other.  A big thank you goes out to the Woods Road Fire Company for the festivities and good luck on the new truck.

Saturday June 9th - At 11:58 PM, District 3 Fire was toned out for a MVA with entrapment on Easton Ave. just before Foxwood Drive.  Car-25 Chief Ries arrived on-scene at 12:03 AM and established command followed by Car-27 Chief Krushinski.  Chief Krushinski took Command as Chief Ries would take on the Extrication Assignment with the crew of Rescue-25 upon their arrival.  Squad-27 arrived and pulled a hand line for protection of the rescue crew and disconnected the batteries of the vehicles.  Rescue-25 arrived moments later and under the direction of Chief Ries, immediately went to work to free the driver of the Lincoln Town Car that was T-boned.  The driver was unconscious and quickly removed from the vehicle and transported to RWJUH in serious condition.  Easton Ave. remained closed until 4 AM while Somerset County Accident Investigation Unit and Franklin Township Police reconstructed the accident scene and had the vehicles removed from the roadway.  Units on location were Car-25A, Car-27A, Car-27B, Rescue-25, Squad-27, Engine 25-1 & Air-27.
