The New Rescue 25

Thursday March 29th - Members of the Rescue Committee made their way down to Manasquan, NJ to Rescue 1 Manufacturers to view the progress of our new rescue that is currently being assembled. This 2007 Spartan chassis Detroit Diesel 430 HP'd engine by Rescue 1, is slated to be completed by the beginning of May. Please click here for additional photos.

20 Years of "Old Faithful"

Monday March 26th - After many runs during 20 years of service, the time has finally come to an end for "Old Faithful" - Rescue-25.  On April 6, Rescue-25 will be taken out of service, driven to the shop and decommissioned.  "Old Faithful," has seen it's share of runs within the Districts of Franklin Township and has come to the aid of many in need during times of crisis.  The new rescue truck to replace "Old Faithful" is currently being assembled and is due to arrive between April/May.

Boy Scouts Visit Station 25

Friday March 23rd - Members of the local Boy Scouts of America, visited our station for a tour of the renovations as well as the apparatus.  The scouts got a chance to see what it feels like inside of fire apparatus as well as trying on our gear.  Click here for more photos.

Early Morning Car Fire

Saturday March 10th - At 03:38 hours, District 3 Fire was dispatched to 57 Frank St. for a reported car fire.  Chief Ries (25-A) arrived on-scene within minutes and established Frank St. Command.  Engine 251 then arrived on scene first due immediately followed by Engine 253 which was right behind them.  Engine 251's crew stretched off a pre-connected line to begin attacking the fire, in which Engine 253's crew assisted with additional manpower and with tools.  The fire attack was then switched over to Class A foam which was used to knock down the bulk of the fire in this Toyota Corolla. Command was terminated within an hour.
