Welcome Back Keith Monday April 28th - The members of Station 25 would like to welcome our fellow brother firefighter, Keith Burton back to the department. After a few years of being away, Keith has returned to the department as a regular member firefighter and has been assigned to engine company. With Keith's previous experience he will be beneficial to not only the younger and newer members of this department but also to this community. Keith once again welcome back brother, it's good to have you back! Extrication Drill Friday April 18th - Tonight members of this department was in attendance for an extrication drill held at our station. Even though we had a limited number of vehicles available tonight, the training was very beneficial for all firefighters who were in present. Tonight we concentrated on proper stabilization, since this is very crucial to lifesaving efforts when dealing with vehicle extrication. All in attendance received a refresher on how to properly use airbags and cribbing to ensure that when on scene there is no delay or discrepancies on how to setup stabilization. Then it was off to the normal routine of how extrication is conducted. Since our department is the primary and only rescue company within District 3, we will continue to conduct future extrication drills which will be held as soon more vehicles are secured for our use. |
