New Thermal Imaging Cameras Installed

Friday March 21st - New ISG K1000 Elite Thermal Imaging Cameras have been installed on our apparatus recently.  The new cameras provide our department with the latest and greatest of technology out there when it comes to TICS.  The cameras come with a measurement range of up to 2100 degrees, with a 320x240 resolution and a FFB320 micro-engine.  Also with it's three sense mode, it allows you to see clearly in areas filled with smoke & heat.  These new cameras have been mounted on both Engine-251 & 253 as well as Ladder-25.  Additionally, our previous like-new cameras have been installed on Rescue-25 to ensure the availability when the unit is out on an emergency.  Over the next few weeks, all department members will receive training on how to effectively use the new cameras.

Mutual Aid for District 2 Structure Fire

Sunday March 17th - After what has so far been a fairly quiet month for District 3, Ladder-25 was requested into District 2 today for a confirmed working structure fire.  At 1647 hours, Station 25 was toned out with the request of Ladder-25 to respond to 213 Royal Ct. at Somerset Park Manor in District 2's territory.  The crew of 5 responded to the scene and immediately went to work with roof operations along with Truck-31.  Upon their arrival, the fire had grown quickly with the wind conditions the way that they were.  The crew of Ladder-25 along with 25-A remained on scene until 2031 hours.
